FAQs

What is QPD Panel?

QPD Panel is a mental health “lab test.” Patients self-administer the test in less than ten minutes using a smartphone, tablet, or web browser. Health care providers immediately receive a test report with actionable information for treatment planning.

What does it assess?

QPD Panel assesses the following eleven mental health disorders based on diagnostic criteria specified by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5). It also screens for suicidality, recent physical or sexual abuse, and (optionally) danger to others.

How can it assess so many disorders so quickly?

QPD Panel uses advanced algorithms to select questions based on responses to previous probes. Patients are not asked irrelevant questions about disorders they do not have. They are examined in-depth about disorders that may be present.

What information is in the test report?

The report has a look and feel familiar to medical providers, resembling a lab test. It communicates diagnostic information simply and clearly.

The report has three parts. Part 1 provides numeric scores that measure symptom severity in eight domains. Out-of-range scores (warranting clinical attention) are indicated clearly. Part 2 lists applicable DSM-5 / ICD-10 diagnoses. Part 3 lists specific symptoms contributing to each diagnosis. view sample report

What about outcome assessment?

QPD Panel can be re-administered for patient monitoring and outcome assessment. When patients take the test more than once, the report includes a trending graph showing changes in depression and anxiety over time. Providers can see at a glance whether symptoms are improving or worsening.

Is it valid?

QPD Panel has excellent sensitivity and specificity. It was validated against the SCID structured psychiatric interview, widely considered the gold standard for psychiatric diagnosis. See our published, peer-reviewed validity research.

How does it work in telehealth?

Our telehealth solution is user-friendly. Patients access the test by clicking a link on the provider website, or they can be sent a link by email or text. When they complete the test, they receive a personalized patient-oriented report highlighting problem areas to discuss with their provider. The provider receives the comprehensive QPD Panel assessment report.

How does it work in a busy medical clinic?

QPD Panel integrates seamlessly into clinic workflow. Patients self-administer the test in the waiting area using a tablet device (iOS, Android, Windows, and Kindle devices are all supported), or they can complete the test online before their appointment. Assessment results are available immediately in the patient’s electronic medical record. QPD Panel requires only a fifth-grade reading level and can be administered in English or Spanish.

Is it HIPAA compliant?

Of course.

Will it integrate with our EMR?

Yes. Data exchange protocols allow seamless integration with all major EMR systems.

Is it reimbursable by third-party payers?

Yes. Physicians and psychologists can bill for QPD Panel administrations using CPT code 96146 for automated psychological instrument administered via electronic platform with automated results.

Does it add value for health care providers?

In a physician satisfaction study, nearly 100% of primary care physicians agreed or strongly agreed QPD Panel is easy to use, integrates easily into primary care practice, can be used immediately by any provider, presents results in a clear and easy-to-understand format, and helps provide better patient care.

How about patient satisfaction?

In a patient satisfaction survey, over 95% of patients agreed QPD Panel is easy to use, is clear and easy to understand, and asks about things that are important for their prvider to know.

Is QPD Panel really different?

Yes. QPD Panel is the only mental health test that achieves high provider and patient satisfaction in real-world clinical use. No other mental health assessment instrument can make this claim.
